New Years Eve seen the running of the Woodford Cup at our home track on Monday.

With a bumper crowd & fantastic weather it was a great days racing. The stable saddled up five runners for the day for 3 winners, a 3rd & 4th.
The first of our winners was Valencia Missile. She is small in stature but her tenacious attitude & toughness certainly makes up for where she lacks in size.
She travelled well on the speed for apprentice Teo Nugent and gave a good kick into the straight. She went on to win by 1.75 lengths.
It was a great thrill for her connections.

Forbid Me Not won the 5th race on the card with Dean Yendall in the saddle. She is a great little money earner for her connections, never finishing any worse than 5th in her 12 start career.
It was a test for her jumping up to the BM70 grade but she did a great job & got another win on the board. Every time we are raise the bar she has performed & has earned herself a crack at a better type of race now.

Loricain bounced back from her unlucky run at Flemington. She won race 6 on the program. With Dean Yendall back in the saddle, he seems to have a good understanding on how to ride this big mare. She went on to win encouragingly off a slow tempo. She certainly is performing well in what is her first racing preparation.

Congratulations to the winning connections on the day & we wish you and all our clients the best for 2019.
