No doubt it’s always a great feeling to get runs on the board early. To get the scoreboard ticking over with your first runner is a touch special. Star Silk was the steed trusted to start the season and he was dominant in the way he beat a field of progressive gallopers at Sale. Under the ever impressive Ben Allen he swooped late down the outside to win in the style of a progressive horse. Brave win this for all associated with the stable. Horse was scratched from an easier assignment at Bairnsdale to ensure he got to perform on a track that would suit his race style. A wide gate held no fears for us , we watch our share of racing and horses running on wide and late at Sale win plenty of races.

It’s highly appropriate that the honour of the stables first winner went to part owner Brian Toohey who is a staunch supporter of the stable. Congrats to both him and Peter Fekete for the win ,this fella was a $50,000 Easter Sale purchase and looks like he is set for a progressive prep.

Denistoun Park is currently resplendent and bathed in late winter sunshine. The staff have done the most amazing job over the winter months to keep the wheels rolling and to have the horses in great form. We may not conquer the world this season but we will ensure that we get the very best from our horses and we’ll even try to have some fun along the way. The future feels bright and we are going to enjoy every winner that comes our way.
