Jockey Robbie Fradd never left the rails on the Chris Waller trained Tumultuous ($4.20 favourite) from the inside gate to score a strong staying win over Goodfella ($5) with  the winner’s stablemate Black On Gold ($9.50) coming from back in the field to fill third spot.

Fradd settled Tumultuous just behind the leading division and the four year old was able to save every bit of energy and was able to replicate his win in last year’s Magic Millions Trophy.

“Had a good run on the fence, never left it, the gap was there and we had to take it,” Fradd said.

Fradd could see the other jocks making there moves coming to the home turn but bided his time and waited for the leader, Goodfella to roll off the fence and then started to wind Tumultuous up once heads were turned for home.

Tumultuous had an uninterrupted run to the line along the fence and went on to overhaul Goodfella who stuck to his guns to fill the runner’s up spot.

Fourth placegetter Tally ($7) tried hard at the finished and ran a good race with 61kg on his back.

Waller was very proud to be a part of the Magic Millions race day and excited to train Tumultuous to win the Magic Millions Trophy for the second year in a row.

“It is great to be a part of it,” Waller said.
