It is another big weekend for the stable with Kardashing lining up in a stakes race in Adelaide and Atlantic Fox running at Flemington.

KARDASHING TACKLES STAKES COMPANY

Redoutes Choice filly Kardashing has been in Adelaide for nearly a week preparing for tomorrow’s Listed Oaklands Plate. She has thrived in the City of Churches and looks set to run a great race after a strong track gallop on Wednesday morning.

We are hoping she can run top 3 and gain some blacktype. She is a well bred filly and will be worth big money if she can win or run a place tomorrow” said Jason Warren.

We have taken a different approach this time around and sent her over a week early. She has settled in beautifully and licked up each night so we couldn’t be happier with her”.

She is fit and ready to run a strong 1400m and I think she will give a really good sight“.

Good luck ‘Kardash’ and all her owners.

THE FOX READY TO POUNCE

Atlantic Fox has had a terrific preparation with two wins already but a win at Flemington tomorrow would round off a brilliant preparation for the 3yo son of Savabeel.

He didn’t run out the 2000m at Caulfield last start and is back to the mile tomorrow after a little freshen up between runs.

He has drawn beautifully in barrier 3 and Melham goes back on so we are pretty confident that he can bounce back with a good run. At 18-1 in early markets, he is a cheeky each way chance.

FAREWELL & GOOD LUCK JULS HAY

After 5.5 years as our Racing Manager, Juls Hay signs off this weekend and hands the reigns over to our new Racing Manager Gerard Tesoriero. Juls has been an integral part of JWR for a long time and I know everyone is going to miss him. Good luck and all the best from all of us with your new endeavours. Here are a few words from Jules –

Jason Warren Racing has been a huge part of my life and I have loved every minute so it was a tough decision to leave”.

Jase has been an amazing boss, a great friend and a huge influence on my career so a big thanks to him.

To all the owners, thanks for the endless phone calls, abusive emails and grey hairs which you have caused. In truth, I doubt I will find a better bunch of owners and I have been very lucky to have made some great friendships along the way.

When I first arrived at Denistoun Park in 2012, we had the likes of Bel Sprinter, Freereturn and Pronto Pronto emerging as Group horses. Wind the clock forward to 2017 and I think there are some future stars waiting in the wings. Our current crop of 2yo’s is the best crop Jase has ever assembled and I have no doubt that there are a few Group stars amongst them.

I will be watching on with great interest and look forward to seeing many winners crossing the line in the famous blue and yellow silks!

GERARD TESORIERO JOINS THE TEAM

A big welcome to our new Racing Manager Gerard Tesoriero.

Gerard has been transitioning into the new role over the last couple of weeks so he hits the ground running on Monday when he officially takes over from Juls.

Gerard has been involved in the racing industry for 15 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the role.

Most recently, Gerard was Assistant Trainer to multiple Group 1 winning trainer Danny O’Brien, being heavily involved in horses such as Shamus Award, Star Witness, Master O’Reilly and Shamrocker.
