Wilde Racing celebrated their first Metro double at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

It was a terrific thrill for the hard working team back home, especially after nursing Straight Jacket (pictured) back from injury.

Royal Applause was sent out one of the outsiders of the field, even though she won at the same track and distance the week before.
She was very tough in the fight to the line to hold off the race favourite.
The owners in Royal Applause- most of them good friends of Symon’s are enjoying a great ride racing this mare.

Our apprentice, Melissa Julius secured her first Moonee Valley win on stable favourite Straight Jacket, with Flemington the only city track where she hasn’t notched up a winner.
Straight Jacket sat just off the leader at a solid tempo throughout the 2040m event but he showed tremendous fight to hold off the second placed horse.
It was smiles all round for this ownership group and the staff as it has been a long, patient road back to the track let alone a city win after “The Jacket” sustained a suspensory injury.

We would like to thank all our owners for their continued support and our hard working team back at the stables in Ballarat & Warrnambool.
