A great day for the stable with Irish Constabulary returning from a spell without a trial, to dominantly win first up over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast.

Ridden beautifully by Steph Lacy, fresh off a win on a $30 outsider in the first race, Irish settled last in a small 5 horse field, railed through on the turn, and dashed away down the straight for a most convincing win.

Despite the fact that he is rising 10 years old in August, Irish shows no signs of stopping, and presented beautifully in the mounting yard prior to the race. After the race he pulled up a treat, and is well primed for another crack at the winter carnival in Brisbane over the coming months.

The win made it 3 winners for the Esprit Racing stable in the last 8 races, so the horses are in good nick, and with a little luck from the weather gods, will be strutting their stuff in the next few weeks.
