Stable is having a terrific run at present. Change is always uncomfortable but big changes are at foot around the stables. We are building a new management team and the results are starting to pay dividends. Three winners in the last nine days is a decent start , this is a stable that has produced a Group 1 horse and we want more.
Todays winner came courtesy of Dixie Preacher who was racing on the classic stayers seven day back up. He ran second at Cranbourne last Friday where he raced just a shade fiercely . Today under Brad Rawiller he was absolutely dominant, settled a treat in front and broke the oppositions hearts . He ran out an easy winner and great to train another winner for his loyal connections. He can improve again and we believe he can develop into a really nice middle distance horse.
The team move onto Caulfield tomorrow , two tough assignments for the runners but great to have the team heading to town in flying form. You can feel the buzz around the stables and it’s exciting how success breeds success.
