Bel Sonic has returned to racing bigger and better than ever .We knew he was a risk first up over the 1200m but the prep had to start somewhere . When the price money is $150,000 added then it made sense to kick off the prep at Caulfield Saturday. When Ben Melham allowed him to blend into the race it was clear he had the fancied runners well and truly covered. A race fit horse getting six kilos was to be the horse to nail him late but still a fantastic return run. A decent place cheque of $27,000 for running second was the prize and we left the track  a tad disappointed but excited for the prep ahead. He has a stack of improvement to come and we will aim him at the AR Creswick series through the winter.

As he continues to mature he could have a big race in him down the track. He is another fine example of a well purchased yearling by Jason and he is one horse that will keep the staff getting out of bed on the cold mornings . One of a few horses that we full expect to make their mark in town over the coming weeks, stable is starting to really take shape and there is a feel of anticipation around the farm.
