The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained Anders is nominated for the $125,000 QTIS Two Years Old Plate (1000m) at Eagle Farm and co-trainer David Eustace is hoping the addition of the blinkers will help the $670,000 Magic Millions purchase achieve his potential.

“He’s trialled up well since with blinkers on,” Eustace told The Courier-Mail.

“He’s a horse (we) always thought a bit of, but he was a bit disappointing.”

“He’s a Millions’ horse and if he shows up and does what we’re hoping he can do then we’re very hopeful (about his potential).”

Anders has been to the races once for a fourth to See You Soon in a Tw Years Old Plate over 1000m at Randwick on October and the Not A Single Doubt colt has won a recent 800m Kembla Grange barrier trial on December 11 with the blinkers on.

Anders in well down the list in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic order of entry at number forty-one with only $6,500 in the bank and will need to collect a large amount of the prizemoney on offer at Eagle Farm on the weekend to climb up the ladder.

Maher and Eustace also have Magic Millions 2yo Classic hopeful Amish Boy nominated for the Two-Years-Old Plate at Eagle Farm and the Star Witness colt is also entered for a 1200m Two-Years-Old Handicap at Randwick on Saturday.

Rathlin is currently number twelve in the order of entry for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and is the highest rated of the Maher and Eustace youngsters in the early betting at Ladbrokes.com.au at $17 while Anders is marked at $26 and Amish Boy at $34.
