Co-trainer Bryan Guy is keen to run Absolutlypositivly in the $2m Magic Millions 3yo Guineas (1400m) at the Gold Coast on January 13 following her win on her home track at the Gold Coast on Wednesday.

Absolutlypositivly is the winner of her last two starts and Guy puts the return to the winner’s stall down to the addition of a set of ear muffs.

“We tried ear muffs in trackwork and then she trialled in them. She has won both her race starts carrying them,” Guy told AAP.

“She should have enough prize money to get into the Vo Rogue Plate on Saturday fortnight.”

“From there we are looking at the Magic Million Guineas.

“I know it is a big step but we have always had an opinion of her.

The Gold Coast trained filly will have one more run before Magic Millions Race Day in the Group 3 $200,000 Vo Rogue Plate (1350m) at Doomben on December 30.

Absolutlypositivly wore the ear muffs for the first time to win a 1200m Fillies and Mares Class 2 Handicap at the Gold Coast on November 25 and then beat a similar class field over the same course and distance on December 13 which took her winning tally to three from five race starts after winning on debut as a late two year old over the 1200m trip on her home track.

“We put her in a stakes race at her second race start. One thing the Magic Millions is at the Gold Coast and she is unbeaten in three goes on the track,” said Guy who trained in partnership with his son Daniel.

Early betting for the Magic Millions 3yo Guineas at Ladbrokes.com.au has Absolutlypositivly marked at $26 while the Greg Hickman trained Pierata heads the market order at $5.50 ahead of Our Crown Mistress at $7.
