The first three placegetters of the Silver Eagle are exempt from the ballot for the $7.5m Golden Eagle (1500m) at Rosehill on November 2 which means that The Inevitable, Fasika and Mizzy will clash again in three weeks time.

Inevitable was sent out as the $3 favourite for the Silver Eagle and Nash Rawiller was able to give the Scott Brunton trained gelding a trouble free run in the middle of the field for the majority of the race.

Rawiller eased out into the clear on the home turn and gave The Inevitable a clear run and the Dundeel four year old who was able to get the job done.

Runner up Fasika ($3.30) emerged from the pack with The Inevitable and made the favourite fight all the way to the line with Mizzy ($6.50) also fighting on over the concluding stages after racing on the pace.

The Inevitable made it eight wins from ten race starts with his win the Silver Eagle and he will be carrying the hopes of Tasmania when he lines up in the Golden Eagle.

“He’s done a great job to get the job done. Great ride. There are a lot of people I have got to thank. All the staff at home for putting up with me,” Brunton said.

He’s just a phenomenal racehorse, with a great will to win. He’s a great walker, great mover. Just shows you it doesn’t matter what shape or size they come in. If they move right and look well they can run.”

“Well I knew we could come to Sydney about 3 minutes ago. He’s got a lot of water to go under the bridge. There are some serious race horses next run. I’m very grateful to be there and a part of it if he pulls up well.”

The Inevitable is now a $8 chance for the Golden Eagle at Ladbrokes.com.au.
