Mick Sell Racing are proud sponsors of the Woodend Pony Club (WPC). Based on the old Woodend Racecourse which is rich in history the community sporting club has been running for almost 45 years. As part of the Pony Club Association of Victoria it offers young riders the opportunity to learn to ride or further their riding skills, extending their knowledge of horsemanship in a safe, controlled environment. With rallies held on the first Sunday of every month experienced instructors deliver lessons in showing, jumping, dressage, cross country, games & theory. WPC encourages a strong sense of sportsmanship encouraging members of all ages to compete in team events and show their support for fellow riders at individual competitions. With recent renovations to the club rooms and a new all-weather arena being constructed the club continues to grow it’s already existing facilities.
Mick Sell Racing also has a personal connection with WPC with our two oldest children being riding members and our youngest budding to be out there amongst the action. We enjoy and respect the spirit of this club especially when you witness these young riders waiting on the sidelines at competitions supporting & waiting for all their fellow members to finish their disciplines.
