Moss Trip is now marked at $11 on Thursday morning at Ladbrokes.com.au after $15 was bet when the final Coolmore Classic was released on Wednesday.

Trainer Peter Snowden admits that a change of Sydney Autumn Carnival plans for Moss Trip was taken after her first up fourth to White Moss in the Group 2 $200,000 Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill on February 23.

“It hasn’t been an ideal preparation,” Peter Snowden told The Daily Telegraph.

“She came back pretty late and I wasn’t keen to go to the Coolmore but I was so impressed with her run in the Millie Fox.”

Snowden, who trains in partnership with his son Paul, stepped up Moss Trip’s work and added in a 1200m Warwick Farm barrier to prepare her for the fillies and mares Group 1.

“To get to the Coolmore, though, I knew she needed a bit more work, so I gave her a nice solid trial (March 7) and she came on really well from that and it might be enough to get her to this race,” Peter Snowden said.

“She’s come back a lot stronger and the trip away last preparation really seasoned her so don’t be surprised to see her run well.

“It’s going to be a great race and she’s certainly not out of it.”

Moss Trip has drawn barrier seven in the capacity twenty horse Coolmore Classic field and Tommy Berry has been permitted to ride the mare 1kg overweight at 52.5kg.

The Coolmore Classic has developed into a wide open betting race with I am Serious at $5.50 and Jamaican Rain at $7.50 the only two runners under the $10 mark at Ladbrokes.com.au.

The Chris Waller trained I Am Serious comes into barrier fourteen with the early starching of Cool Passion and could come in two more spots if the remaining emergencies fail to gain a start.

James McDonald has stuck with I Am Serious in the Coolmore Classic after the pair combined for a last start second to White Moss in the Millie Fix Stakes.

The Richard Laming trained Jamaican Rain has moved into gate fifteen with Glen Boss flying in from Singapore to partner the Manhattan Rain mare who worked her way up through the classes with a hat trick of wins during her last preparation and resumed with a handy win in the Group 3 $160,000 Mannerism Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on February 23.
