It is 16 years since the mighty mare Ethereal changed the life of Esprit Racing’s Sheila Laxon by winning the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups, after the winter of 2001 where the mare had dominated the Doomben Roses and the Queensland Oaks. In the Sydney autumn she returned to collect the 2002 The BMW Stakes.
