New Zealand Oaks placegetter Feel The Rush will begin her 2020 Spring Carnival campaign under the care of co-trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace at Warwick Farm.

Feel The Rush finished third behind Jennifer Eccles and Vancooga in the Group 1 NZD$400,000 N.Z. Oaks (2400m) at Trentham in New Zealand on March 14 for Southland trainer Kelvin Tyler.
Tyler’s brother Allan and sister in law Marie race Feel The Rush and have retained a half share in the Proisir filly.
“My brother actually owned her, so he has kept half a share, so it works out quite well,” said Tyler, who trains in partnership with his daughter Aimee, told loveracing.nz’s news desk.
“My brother already has a horse over with Ciaron at Ballarat, so we knew him a little bit and Allan was quite keen for her to go over to Ciaron’s, so it fell into place quite nicely.”
Feel The Rush has won three races from twelve starts and Tyler was expecting the filly to excel once she got up to a m idle distance with two of her wins being over 2200m before achieving her best result with a placing in the N.Z. Oaks.
“She has been wanting to do that sort of thing (Oaks placing) since she was an early three-year-old,” Tyler said.
“She just matured so early and that was her target all season. I’m pleased to have kept her in one piece and it worked out really well.
“She has got a lot of upside yet and I am quite confident she will be able to mix it with the best over there.”
Maher and Eustace have had a standout year with 252 winners, including three at Group 1 level.
Loving Gaby was successful twice at The Valley in the Group 1 $1m Manikato Stakes (1200m) during the 2019 Spring Carnival and the Group 1 $500,000 William Reid Stakes (1200m) in March, as well as Etah James winning the $1m Sydney Cup (3200m) at Randwick during the 2020 Sydney Autumn Carnival.
Maher and Eustace also saddled up two year old filly Away Game to win the 2020 $2m Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast I January.
