Every Rose was relegated to the second line of betting at Ladbrokes.com.au after being beaten as the short priced favourite when runner up to Farnan in the $200,000 Magic Millions Wyong 2yo Classic (1100m) at Wyong on December 12.

Bookies at Ladbrokes promoted the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Farnan to the top of the betting at $5.50 for the $2m The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 11 ahead of Every Rose at $6.50

Trainer Mark Newnham admitted that Every Rose would gain a lot of improvement with that run under her belt and will be fine turned her for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic with a final lead up run in the B.J. McLachlan Stakes.

“She pulled up having a good blow and that’s probably expected being that far out from her grand final,” Newnham told Racenet.

“I think she needed the run. Once Farnan got control of the race outside the leader he was going to be hard to get past.

“She peaked on her run 80-100m out but she pulled up well.

“A good 1200m in two weeks time will have her peaking on Magic Millions day.”

“I haven’t lost any confidence in her. She just wasn’t fit enough.”

The Mick Price and Michael Kent trained Euphoric Summer sits at the top of the Magic Millions 2yo Classic order of entry with $171,200 in the bank following his debut second in the Listed $175,000 Inglis Debutant Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield on October 12 and his win in the $250,000 Magic Millions 2yo Clockwise Classic (1000m) at Ballarat on November 23.

Euphoric Summer is marked at the double figure odds of $21 Magic Millions 2yo Classic while the two favourites, Farnan ($122,750) and Every Rose ($120,750), are second and third in the order of entry.
