Enticing Star was transferred to Sydney’s premiership winning trainer Chris Waller after running second to Voodoo Lad in the Group 1 $1m Crown Perth Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot in Perth during the 2018 – 2019 Summer Racing Carnival.

Enticing Star will join stablemate Arcadia Queen, who wears the same Bob Peters cerise and white colours, in The Everest after the Group 1 winning filly was signed up to run in the slot owned by The Star.

Enticing Star is the winner of eight from ten starts with her only win in open class being in the Listed $100,000 Birthday Stakes (1200m) at Belmont in Perth last October.

“We are excited to have Enticing Star selected as the representative for the Chris Waller Racing slot in the TAB Everest 2019,” owner Bob Peters told racing.com.

“We sent her over to Sydney with the intention of securing a start in the race because we firmly believe that she will be very competitive in a race of that standing.

“We are thrilled to have Enticing Star join Arcadia Queen as our two runners in this year’s Everest”.

Waller will also saddle up two runners in The Everest after Peters selected the champion trainer to prepare Arcadia Queen for the 2019 Sydney Spring Carnival.

“No guarantees were promised to Mr Peters when the horses came to me as we have several horses capable of being competitive in The Everest but Enticing Star was always on our minds as she is a class mare and we think she can win the Everest,” Waller said.

“The deal that Mr Peters and our partners have agreed upon is very generous and I am sure come race time Enticing Star will be ready to run the race of her life.”

Arcadia Queen was a star during the 2018 Spring and the Summer Carnival in Perth and quickly worked her way up through the grades to claim her fifth win from six start with her runaway victory in the Group 1 $1m Magic Millions Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot in Perth on December 8.

Arcadia Queen is on the third line of betting at $8 at Ladbrokes.com.au for The Everest behind the $6 favourite Santa Ana Lane and the James Cummings trained Osborne Bulls while Enticing Star is marked as a $15 chance.
