Co-trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace saddled up three year old filly Loving Gaby to win the 2019 Manikato Stakes and are keen to set Away Game on the same course.

“The Manikato is in mind and then possibly the Coolmore Stud Stakes, but we’ll be guided by her,” co-trainer David Eustace told AAP.

“She’s in pre-training at Pakenham and has been there a week or so and she looks fantastic.

“She has furnished really well and has matured a lot and we’re really looking forward to this campaign.”

“She had a tough campaign and did clock up a lot of miles, but we’re confident she can come back as a top-class three-year-old.”

Away Game was one of the stars of her two year old year with four wins from eight starts including the 2020 $2m The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast in January.

The Snitzel filly missed out on a Group 1 win when runner up to Farnan in the Group 1 $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill in March but was able to snare a Group 2 victory with her win in the $500,000 Heineken 3 Percy Sykes Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Day Two of The Championships on April 11.

Maher and Eustace sent Away Game for a well deserves six-week break at Fulmen Park on the Mornington Peninsula after finishing fifth behind Bella Vella in the Group 1 $400,000 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on May 2.
