The stable continues to click over the winners with regularity and the team are presenting in fine order. Antah has been the talented problem child for the team . It’s well documented the long journey he has been treading back to the races after a tendon injury. What is less well documented is his complete aversion to the starting stalls. A combo of Julian Welsh and Jason Maskiell seem to be fixing the problem child and with it we are starting to see the talented child emerge.

We didn’t want to go to the mile second up but it was the only race that shaped as suitable off a seven week break. He was sweet as in the gates and when he emerged bolting in the straight to the eye it looked like he would win by panels. No early crow from us as we knew he would find the last 100m tough work. To his great credit he stuck his neck out and fought like a lion.He needed the run and has a stack of improvement to come.

He is starting to carry on like a prize fighter around the stables. Every win brings more confidence and he was bouncing around the barn the following day. Big step up to city grade next start but we full expect him to make the transition , he has a lot of class , he just needs to be more the talented and less the problem child.
