Quietly but surely the team are going about their business.No shouting from the rooftops, just presenting horses in the best order possible from a select team at Denistoun.The boss has the horses in tremendous nick and his placement has been spot on .Yesterday at Terang Royal Zephyr headed to the races with a string of duck eggs to his name but still carried a deal of stable confidence.The car park barrier didn’t worry us and the in form Damien Thornton produced a peach of a ride.Tactics change was announced pre race , we were going forward and with the blinkers on the plan was executed .Our son of Commands found the lead with ease and was rated beautifully in front by his hoop.He is a horse that can go on with the job and this victory was a big feather for the team at home.He is less than easy to work with and the remedial work that has gone on behind the scenes has been enormous.
There is a great feel around the camp at present.A cracking crop of yearlings have been purchased and a lot of promising horses are flying up the gallop at home.Over the coming months you will see new faces around the stables and some pretty damn smart horses making their way to the track.We are set fair for the coming months and the future looks bright.
