A good pedigree helps in racing but it will only take you so far. Jared Wehlow is the son of revered trainer Greg “Greedy” Wehlow and while Jared has his Father to thank for much of his training knowledge, he is quickly forging his own way in the racing game. While Far North Queensland is home to a broad and passionate racing community, most horses that reside there race there. Such are Jared’s abilities as a young trainer that he is needing to make regular trips to Brisbane to race his horses against the best that QLD can offer. Jared’s laid back nature is in contrast to his professional ambitions and there is no doubt that Jared is a young trainer that is very much on the rise.
